Obsession of the Week: Condescending Corporate Brand Page
We’ve all seen those cringey posts shared by businesses on Facebook. You know the sort – the ones that have no purpose whatsoever other than to get liked and shared.
“OMG it’s [insert day of the week]. You better share this post in pointless celebration of this event that only happens once each seven days, otherwise absolutely nothing will happen.” Scarier than the fact that these posts exist in their thousands, is that fans ready to share and like them exist in their hundreds of thousands and so, like a pandemic of social-media-pointless-content-vomiting, such posts continue.
This week I came across a page on Facebook dedicated to such awful social media crimes by businesses. It’s called ‘Condescending Corporate Brand Page,’ and it will make you laugh.
